About Our PTA
It is a common misconception that all the PTA does is organize fundraisers and class parties.
While it is true that these are an integral part of our PTA, there are so many wonderful ways that
our PTA contributes to the education of our students. We share the same mission, values and
purposes as the Missouri State PTA and the National PTA.
A single membership is an investment of $6.00. A portion of the dues go to the state and
national PTA. The remainder of the funds goes DIRECTLY to help with programs, field trips and
many other activities AT Lewis & Clark. Below is a list of just a few ways the students at Lewis
& Clark benefit from our PTA:

The Parent Teacher Association Mission Statement
Membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission and purposes of Parent TeacherAssociation. Individual members may belong to any number of PTAs and pay dues in each.
Every person who joins a local PTA automatically becomes a member of both the state and
national PTAs.
Together we are a powerful voice for children. With your help, we can continue to work toward
PTA's goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child
