Lewis & Clark Elementary PTA
Fundraising is an often-dreaded, yet always-necessary part of any non-profit
organization.
Our PTA must raise funds for every event, program, or item that we purchase.
Tthis means that PTA must raise approximately $20-25K per year. Average annual
enrollment at Lewis & Clark is 535 students, which means our PTA must raise
$44-55 per child to support typical programs and services.
This is a very attainable goal if everyone does their part. There are many
opportunities to contribute to PTA's fundraising efforts throughout the year.
These include:
PTA Membership - Approximately $2.25 from every our PTA membership sold stays
with our organization. The rest is distributed to the State and National dues.
Entertainment Books - This September, an Entertainment Coupon Book will be sent
home with your child. The price of the book is only $20 and it contains hundreds of
dollars in practical coupons for our families.
Fourty percent (40%) of the price of the book stays with Lewis & Clark.
Families can simply return the book if they do not wish you purchase it.
Sally Foster - This year we will again be participating in the Sally Foster product
fundraiser which includes; high quality giftwrap, delicious chocolates, gourmet gifts
and practical items for the home are great for holidays, birthdays and all other
occasions.
Fifty percent (50%) of the profits of this fundraiser stay with our unit.
CiCi's Nights - CiCi's Pizza generously hosts our PTA once per month, giving 10% of
all profits from 4pm until close to our PTA unit. They also give wonderful prizes for
class participation.
Box Tops for Education - This program involves clipping and saving Box Top coupons
from many of your favorite products. We have a fall and spring contest when you can
turn your Box Tops in, or you can turn them in at anytime during the year. Our school
gets 10 cents for each Box Top we send in. These coupons really add up, typically
earning us $1000-1300 year! For more information on the Box Tops program and to

Skating Parties- Each year, PTA hosts several skating parties at Northland Rolladium.
Our PTA unit receives $1 for each skating admission on these nights.
Book Fairs- During fall and spring parent-teacher conferences, PTA holds a
Scholastic Book Fair. Families have an opportunity to purchase books and other
products for themselves, as well as their child's classroom, and a portion of the
proceeds from these book sales go back to our PTA unit.
